Year 5
What a fantastic Autumn term we have had in Year 5. The children have done fantastically over the course of the last 8 weeks and have really impressed us with their resilience and creativity. As we move through the Autumn term, there are lots of exciting things ahead such as Bonfire Night and of course… Christmas!

Homework Incentive Reminder
A reminder that the children in Year 5 are working towards earning a fantastic end of term reward. Each time children complete their homework, they will earn a special ‘DidiDot’ sticker which is added to a chart in the classroom.
Weekly homework includes reading three times a week, weekly spelling practice and a Math and Grammar page in CGP books provided for the children.

Curriculum
What have you learnt at school today?
“Nothing…” – Is this a familiar answer? Please look at our curriculum maps with the children to inspire them to tell you more about school and their learning – these can be found on our website.
Over this half term, the children have been studying a book called ‘When we walked on the Moon’. This excellent book explores human space travel. In our History lessons the children have also been learning about the Tudors, King Henry VIII and all of his wives and children!
